  2. Bacterial growth could occur if you keep your bacon out at room temperature for more than two hours. After that, refrigerating it won’t get rid of the bacteria; at that point, the bacon is plain bad and needs to be thrown out.
  3. Take out only the bacon that you intend to eat. The best choice is to defrost frozen bacon in the refrigerator because room-temperature drying is not safe for longer than two hours, just like you shouldn’t leave cooked meat products out.
